SOLD 1969 18 spline four speed...nice original!

it has a full gtx vin on it,looks very nice inside...not bad on tha outside either....just not all painted up,it's just as it was pulled years ago.i was going to use it in my challenger with a 416 small block but decided it would be ovarykill,so im going with a 23 spline and this ones fo sale.1000$ cash.i would rather not ship...located in n.c. 28001

I remember when I was 17 , My buddies and I went into a wrecking yard and grabbed that very same tranny from a super bee complete with Hurst shifter. I walked about a 1/2 mile with it on my shoulder in the middle of the night. I was going to put it in an A Body. I found out later it was the wrong one for the car. :icon_scratch: that was 40 years ago

I tried to find a contact in Buffalo last week to have parts shipped to, then I could make the two hour trip to pick them up.
Have not had much luck in my search, but I am still thinking the cost would be high even to ship to Buffalo.

One of the members contacted me and suggested trying to find a trucking company making regular trips to Canada, put trans on as a extra for driver to make some side cash. It maybe a lot cheaper than couiers Do you know any truckers in your area, that trip to Canada. do you know anyone going to the upper USA states, such as New York State, I could meet them. Just trying to search brain for ideas, short of driving down but that would make trans to high in cost. Do you have any other parts to go with this trans?

I think he means he got it shipped for under $350 not that he paid and got it shipped for that price, the trans was on top of the shipping cost, is that right?

That is an interesting story ... any more to it? I'm assuming you meant you hauled another 833 and not literally the same trans ... or was it? The VIN is shown above ... why was it middle of the night, what did you do as an alternative to the one you gave up on after hauling it, etc.

The fellow member is an absolute gentleman and was outstanding in all areas, communication, packing, follow ups etc. We plan to stop in and see him when we get to the USA next yr. I used an Aussie guy to ship it for me, lucky the trans was only 30 miles from where he ships out of...he also got my 63 polara over for me a few yrs ago.

Oh, I see. Yes, $350 to ship something that heavy and cumbersom, that far, is a steal indeed.
