I have a 1969 B body dash that I picked up and want to swap some parts off of it to replace the parts on my R/T. I want the lower dash pad and took five or six speed nuts off but the top left is still hanging up. I do not see anymore speed nuts at the top of the pad in the back so does anyone know what is holding it up? I would like to take the lower dash pad, control center and instrument cluster out of it. I also posted this in the interior section as well.
Thanks again

If I recall correctly, I think there are a couple of phillips screws holding the pad on underneath the radio.

It seems to be free near the radio. It is caught to the left of the steering wheel cut out. The instrument cluster and control center cannot come out without removing the lower dash pad as far as I can tell. PITA.

I removed the four black screws from the face of the switch panel, maybe I am missing a from the back?

The pads tend to shrink around the switch panel, making it hard to pull out. Member Gdrill was just working on the dash of his 69 Runner. Search his posts for tips.

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know where I can buy a front right hand fender for my R/T Coronet?
I would be greatful for any leads.

I tried to find Gdrill post about the dash removal. The switch panel is not coming out from the lower dash pad. Is there a way to pull the dash pad off with the switch panel in place. I hate to cut the pad off.

You have to unplug the switches and push out from behind panel.

When you get ready to install the new pad put some tape or other material around the opening of your new/replacement dash pad before inserting the switch panel into it or you'll booger up the pad's finish.
