Doing a search for Front Backing plates and noticed that the Parts book list two separate part numbers for 11" x 3" Brakes. Section 5-13-1 lists part number 2880534 for 11" x 3" Brakes with Manual Adjusters and 2880535 for 11" x 3" Brakes with Auto Adjusters. I did not know there would be two separate backing plates for Manual vs Auto Adjusters. I just thought it was about switching out the adjuster hardware to whatever you preferred. Is there a subtle difference in the two backing plates I don't know about or are they the same?

Thank you!

If you look at the listing the 11 x 3 manual adjuster is B-Body and the 11 x 3 automatic adjuster is C-Body. B-Body was not offered with auto adjusters. Big question is the difference between the b and c bodies. The must be some difference.

Good Point on the B vs C body. I noticed it but didn't really comprehend it when I looked this up. When I got my R/T it had all new Auto adjusters installed. Like you said I had always heard heavy duty drum systems for R/T's and police came with Manual. I am in the process of wanting to change over to Manual and that whats led me to ask the question. Thank you for your response.
