Wow - you are not messing around. Did you end up having to change the rockers like you mentioned previously? If so you guys have to be the fastest guns in the west.

yes new rockers, WOW lots and I mean lots of pin welds, like every inch

Painting the convertible top, air filter, rims, hood inserts, and brake firewall plate in black tonight.
Start putting chrome back on on Monday, and putting the top on so it can stretch a few days. Will finish engine by the end of next week hopefully and have it in. It gets new gaskets and painted mopar orange. I will have to wait a few weeks for the upholstery to be done. Putting in leather instead of vinyl and I am going to embroider in the "road runner" in the head rests!!!!!!! ;-)
Should be driving it in about 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Found out there was a few problems with engine so I just had it totally machined.
Decked , line-bored, balanced, blueprinted, port and polish, new valves, seats, turned, 510 cam and new springs, and polished clutch. Should pull 375 when I put it back together, Hope the rear end can handle it LOL. Will post pic of engine soon.

budget? And you have not even got it apart and off to the media blaster yet, which needs to be your first order of business!

That's ur answer for everything, aint it! Seriously, I need to do that at some point to my Sport Sat. God knows what lurks under my paint, even being a Cali car.
Speaking of which, what should I expect to pay for a job like that?

Great job and fast too. Looking great

Yes changed rockers too!!

Looks great so far.
Just one word of advice you will need the oilpan loose to get the timing cover on properly.
Timing cover should have been installed prior to oilpan.

yea the oil pan only has 3 bolts in it to hold it on and keep the gasket from getting torn laying around the storage locker.
Got a shop to get eh car into today so will have room to finish it up in the next month.
