Does anyone know where one can buy high quality correct fitting 11" front brake drums for a '69 B-body? I tried both Centric Brand and NAPA Brand replacement drums for my '69 Super Bee, but the center opening of these replacement drums were larger than the outside diameter of the hub. They were not hub centric like the original drums from the factory. Not a good thing!!
The original drums fit the hub snug as they should, and need too.

What width. I have 4 -11"x3" in my garage. I know one set is Canadian mfg other is probably USA mfg. Bought both sets between 1984 and 1990.

My friend that manages a local brake shop told me these drums cannot be found. Forced my decision to convert to disc.

You can call musclecarbrakes.com they might have a solution.

I also have backing plates for the drums with new wheel cylinders and flex hoses. All you would need is the hubs from your drums.
I switched to disc's.

Have you tried Oreilys?[/QUOTE

(A long answer to your short question, sorry.)
I believe I checked with O'Reilys but don't remember for sure. This all goes back to June of 2010 when I was looking for new front drums for the Super Bee. I do remember checking with several parts stores back then and the closest I could come to the correct center register was the NAPA drums. But even the center register on theirs was .010 too big in diameter. I went ahead and bought them, centered then on the hub, MIG spot welded the hubs to the drums on the inside then had them turned. This worked okay for 4 or 5 years but eventually the spot welds broke loose. My spot welds didn't bite into the cast iron drum material well enough.
Recently I went through the same process on the RF drum but this time used my stick welder with the correct welding rod for cast iron. Had the drum turned, then installed and tested under very heavy braking and the welds held. But things didn't work out as well with the LF drum, so temporarily I installed a good old hub and one of the original drums (it's thin) until I can find a proper and correct replacement drum.
I have not had very good results with a number of after market replacement parts in the last 7 to 8 years.

I switched to disc's.

All I need is one drum. Wish we lived closer.

How bad are your drums? Mine were 0.12 and 0.06 out of spec to be turned. I also have the backing plates, etc from my disc conversion. I'm a bit closer as I'm in Tucson, but not sure my drums would help you. PM me if you think they will help.

Takes some legwork, but if you can track them down they still linger on C-bodies in the local scrap yards(haven't seen a 'B' in a yard in forever now)...as long as they're not beyond spec but yeah pretty much a last resort

Thanks, will keep that in mind. But can't remember the last time I saw the right vintage of C-body in a wrecking yard around here.
Just need to get the word out to my contacts locally I guess.

I have a set I just pulled off the Roadrunner the can possibly be turned. I converted to Disc. If you are interested let me know. Also have the spindles and backing plates. And a set of rear drums. The front shoes were heat cracked but the drums looked to be in ok shape.

I would try Kanter Auto Products. They have a good amount of NOS and NORS brake drums. I would call and ask.

I have a set with hubs I picked up a while back. IIRC they are standard never been cut. I have a Ammco brake drum mic to measure. Let me know if you are interested and I will dig them out. PM and I can send pics over the phone. Also have new shoes ,wheel cyls, hardware and hoses on spindles and backing plates.

Just curious; did you ever contact musclecar brakes?
