can someone please put up a list of all the items that are needed to resinstall the airgrabber on a 1969 GTX. I have the inside parts....just need a complete list of what goes under the hood.

thanks

The only thing that attaches the air grabber unit to the hood are the large rivets.....

You need to supply pictures of what you have and then we can decipher what you need....

Did this car come with the air grabber?

My 69 gtx came with this option.... I have NOTHING under the hood or in the hood(scoops are blocked off). I do have the fresh air cable/handle and it is attached under the dash to the actuator/lever....

I need a list of all under the hood parts......

So all you have is the air grabber actuator cable? Thats it

are you looking for an original unit or the repop one..........

Good luck on finding a good restorable original and when you do it will be big bones$$$. You have to be careful when searching for an original unit, it may look good externally but the metal doors internally on the side boxes are notoriously rusted out. Then you will need an air cleaner assembly and 383/440 use different bases. You will also need the air grabber hood scoops and screens which are different from the ones you have.
1. Air grabber unit
2. Air cleaner lid and base
3. Air grabber hood scoops and screens
4. Side box seals
5. Base plate seal and hardware
6. Air grabber actuator cable
7. Cable to operate side box doors(rear of grabber unit)
8. Rivets to attach to hood
9. Air Grabber sticker

Repo unit probably all in price for everything 2-2500
Original restored unit all in price for everything 3-4k or more depending on restoration of the unit

btw does your car have AC? is that the gtx in your avatar...

Yes...it has AC but its missing some components......

is #6 (air grabber acutator cable) the portion that is under the dash, inside the car by my knees?

and where can I find the hardware for #5? (the base plate)

Yes, that is what #6 is...

You need to post your fender tag because cars with the N96 (air grabber option) did NOT come with factory air

ahhh...Dont have a fender tag

So your car was probably factory air car I presume......You cannot have both because the AC unit would hit the air cleaner base and the air grabber unit when the hood is closed. You would have to change the factory air to an aftermarket unit in order to do the air grabber setup

hmmm.....it has the ac compressor and the actuator.....So how do I tell what it came with.......?

doesnt this have both?

No FT or BS who knows? Is that the correct dash in the car? Maybe someone converted a vert satellite into a GTX by swapping dashes. Can you read the body numbers? One set is stamped on top of the driver side radiator support brace and the other is stamped on the driver side trunk lip edge under the seal(about midway). Those numbers must match a portion ofthe vin plate on the dash.

ill have to read it another day....its in the shop
