Awesome thread, I made it to page 24 and I have to get back to work. I’ll be back…

Edit: It took a few days to eventually read the remainder of the thread, it’s a shame you had to work through so many issues due to substandard new parts. It’s infuriating…

I finally had a chance to work on the seats. The foam from Legendary worked pretty good. The directions made my head hurt so I just copied the original foam where the muslin attaches.

Stripped the old front seats, had to weld up one spring that was broke then started attaching foam.

The foam is so much better than what I had my head now rubs the headliner :)

And back in the car. Took me the good part of the day. First project I completed in my new shop. I enjoyed the extra space.

Going to tackle the back seat tomorrow.

Back seat was way worse than the buckets. Stretching those covers was a huge pain as they were tight. I guess the next step is getting red seat belts for the back and painting the console.

I've been going back in my mind to wasted money on this project. Or money I spent on parts that were changed later. There have been a lot of them. If I would have paid more initially or done better homework I could have saved thousands. Off the top of my head....

Bought 2 carburetors, 800cfm Edelbrock AVS and AVS 2.
One mechanical fuel pump.
One electric pump.
2 different fp regulators
Fuel tank

All of the above were sold off and EFI installed.

Crane ductile rockers. The tips wore. Ordered a better set as I should have initially. This also led to new pushrods as well as BR3 alignment kit. Which led intoa cnc port on my Stealth Heads with new parts lol.

Black carpet. This was replaced with red carpet when I changed my mind. At least I waited to buy the door cards.

KYB shocks. Replaced these with Bilstein recently.

Time and money spent on factory hood / vents when I bought a fiberglass six pack hood.

Rebuilding all the front drum brakes with new parts then swapping in a Dr. Diff front disc brake kit.

And the alternator / VR. Switched to a Denso internal VR.

There is probably more that I will remember later. The moral is to research what you want or need before buying anything. :)

No matter how hard you try, there's always something to upgrade.

New exhaust for the GTX. 3" kit from Jegs replacing the 2 1/2" and twin Dynomax Ultraflow welded mufflers. It went in pretty well with modifications. Space didn't seem to be an issue but this is not a plug and play kit.

It's a little cramped around the tailpipes isn't it.

Now you need to go to dragstrip again and see if it helped.

Maybe it was because of the Dana 60 & lower stance, but mine was fairly tight fit.
