1969 Plymouth Road Runner for sale. I have decided to let somebody else enjoy this great car. I have owned it for about 3.5 years and put about 7,000 miles on it. This car has a 440 (1969 non-hp) that runs good. Automatic trans that is tight. 3:23 open rear-end. This car is in driver condition but very reliable and a lot of fun to drive. Buckets and console. I do have new front seat covers for it, just never installed them. I would say seats/seat pads should get done too.
Car is super solid throughout. Clearly, at some point prior to me caretaking it, somebody did some external body work on it. NOT the greatest but presentable. I have heard the critics at car shows but didn't care as I felt blessed to own a cool old Road Runner like this. This car is NOT a show car or trailer queen, but a driver. The bones are all super solid with no rust through anywhere. The photo of the trunk is when I first got it and it has now been cleaned up and the battery placed in its factory location.
I have thrown many new mechanical parts at this car as I do drive it and require it to be reliable, which it is. You will get a binder of all documentation I have for it. The build sheet is missing but the fender tag is present and all body numbers match. I have a clear WI title in my name.
It does have a oil leak from the front crank. I just never got to the front seal, but it does drip when parked for a while. I replaced the manual drum brake power brake booster and the brakes are VERY touchy. Did everything I could to make them less touchy but you get used to them when you drive it. It has a crappy 8-track aftermarket radio with crappy speakers. The car has headers which I was not to keen on, but it sounds nice.
If you are looking for a solid boned restoration candidate this is it. If you want a fun driver this is it as well (which was my preference). The car was part of the 2024 Wisconsin State Fair promotional commercial which was really cool:
If the link doesn't load, just go to youtube and type in "2024 Wisconsin State Fair Commercial." The production crew and actors loved the car. Again, pretty cool.
I have added photos. If you require some more, please PM me and I will take photos of whatever you want. The car is $32,000 firm. Please don't lowball me, I don't need to sell it and don't need the money. I do have a 1969 383 hp engine complete (apart) minus exhaust manifolds. The engine would be an additional $850. I am getting older and want somebody else to enjoy this car as I have. It is NOT perfect, remember, this is a driver. Please PM with any questions. I will respond promptly.
