No, he took the ashtray out which I still have and slid an eight track in its place and added four speakers to mount it under the dash and two in the back package tray

One awesome Road Runner! Our dealer in State College sold a a near twin with a four speed. They took it to the spring new car show at the local shopping mall. First B body I ever sat in, still have the sales brochure I pulled from the pile in the passenger seat. Your car reminds me so much of when I bought Baby Blue for the first time. History, condition, and time cards all there. But that was 42 years ago, amazing to see such a score all these years later.

Lots of hours of cleaning, but most of that interior will survive. My 24 thousand mile survivor all cleaned up, but it looks like you will need a lower front cover. Post a WTB ad to try and find a good original first. I saved decent original covers on one of my GTX'S. Hopefully you can get lucky there and not have to call Legendary.

The '69 Road Runner I inspected for a fellow FBBO member a few months ago had an identical original interior. Previous owner had replaced the lower portion with original fabric with a slight patina, and I could not tell it had been done, blended perfectly with the rest.

Aftermarket parts will be a last resort. Will do my best to find original anywhere I can.
Awesome job resurrecting that white interior!
On a good note where this interior will need a lot of work to clean it up, it does not appear that there were any rodents in the car!

There’s a little bit more to the story, early in the 70s he changed the intake, fuel pump and cut in fender well headers.

My 66 Satellite seats looked like yours. My upholstery guy replaced only what was tattered and saved the rest. The repair bill was much cheaper than what covers would have cost too. The foam can be replaced and no one will know.
