For sale is my 1970 Super Bee. One of 599 440 six pack 4 speed hardtops made. It’s a pretty basic bare bones muscle Mopar, with manual steering and brakes. Just buckets, tic toc tach, AM radio and the hi impact FC7 Plum Crazy paint are the only options that the original owner ordered in late 1969 (He is still around too! As well as the second owner and I’ve spoken to both)
The numbers matching shortblock and trans were separated from the Bee in the mid 80’s. More than likely still in the Pacific NW area (sold new and spent until 2019 in Bellingham, WA).
It’s a very strong running car that drives nicely with just over 1,200 miles put on since completed in 2020.
The body and paint were professionally done by a Mopar shop on a rotisserie to a very solid shell. The Bee only needed minimal metal replacement. The center of the trunk floor, the rear window filler panel and a couple of small lower qtr panel patches, which were done using metal from a pair of NOS 1969 Coronet qtrs (were poorly removed from an old project and perfect for patch use). The fenders, doors hood and trunklid are perfectly rust free parts as well as the flawless original interior floorpans. Every part, nut and bolt has been restored. Painted using PPG Deltron FC7 with the correct white C stripe.
All new glass front, rear and side are new and dated coded with the Pentastars by ECS
Restored heater box with recored original heater core by Glen Ray
Restored four speed pedal assembly with all new bearings and bushings and the neutral safety switch as well.
Restored heater control panel by PCG David Patik
Restored gauge cluster with new silk screened gauges and rebuilt tic toc tach by Redline Gauge Works
Restored dash woodgrain by Instrument Specialties
AM radio rebuilt and the dash and optional rear speaker were reconed
All of the dash switches were restored by J&S Restorations
The original buckets and rear seats were completely restored correctly to OEM. New Legendary covers, foam and burlap. Done by one of the most talented Mopar seat guys around. He wove in new support wires through the burlap, like when new. The frames were blasted and powder coated black. The seat tracks were even completely disassembled, blasted, primed and painted. New headliner/insulation, package tray/insulation, ACC carpet, Legendary door panels with plastic vapor shields installed like OEM. New front window track guides and new rear track felts.
Topcat door glass whisker kit
Restored 3 speed wiper motor by Bruce Somers
Rechromed front and rear bumpers by Tri City Plating

This isn’t your typical “restored”Mopar, that’s just a shiny paint job with half assed work done to flip. Lots of time, money and effort were put into this one. It’s close to as new as one can make a 55 year old car. Not perfect, but quite nice IMO.
I’m only selling in order to buy another Mopar that a friend will be listing soon and if he sells his before I sell mine, I’ll pull the ad and gladly keep enjoying it.
The price for the Bee is $91,500 OBO
