My dimmer switch is worn out. It doesn't really dim and it's either lights on or off for the dash.

Does anyone sell this switch, or possibly rebuild them?

Thanks!

Ron

Okay, am I missing something? Why wouldn't you go to napa and pick up a replacement? Here's 2 they offer, both cheap, less than $10 for the most expensive unit and less than $6 for the cheaper one. What's wrong with these?

Ahhhh, the light just came on, duh, lol thanks

I took mine apart and cleaned it all up inside. It isn't that hard of a project, but a couple of rivets need to be drilled out and replaced with small bolts.

Hey, great hit! Nice price on this too, I'm going to order one.

Thanks!!

I rebuilt my dimmer. Not too hard. See post number 40 from this thread:

I'd try it - worst you can do is break an already broken dimmer!

Hope this helps.

Hey, I just saw this now too. Good point. I'm going to see of I can follow your lead on this. I thought it may have been a melted resistor or something...looks simple though.

Thanks
