The 1970 Charger 500 did not actually get a BumbleBee stripe. The '69 Charger 500 did and it had the "500" logo in it. Only the R/T models were available with the BumbleBee stripes.Love a 500 in that color! No “500” in the butt stripe?
I'm not sure what spit weld is to be honest? I'm not good with the lingo either, the Top came from Classic Industries through AMD I'm sure. He came through a friend of a friend he's out of Santa Ana/Tustin off the 55.Wow, looks awesome!!!! Congratulations, I have a 70 500 that I will be starting on soon. Did your body man spit weld like original? I’m thinking of sending mine out to AMD? Everyone in California wants an arm and a leg for good body work! The person that did your car, was he a friend? In any case, keep up the good work, looks nice.

I'm trying to keep it close to original as possible, its #'s matching as far as I know, did the 70 have 500 in the stripe?

That is funny! With the "quality control" seen in some cases, it almost looks as if the weld was like an electric spit.I'm not sure what spit weld is to be honest?
