1970 gtx air grabber solenoid

my air grabber solenoid has had the green wire removed and I am going to replace it. I am curious as to where to plug the wire in and what its purpose is. Another one of life's great mysteries. As always any assistance is appreciated. Joel

It's made to close the door once the ignition is turned off whether the switch is on or off... I don't know about the 70 harnesses compared to 71-2 so I don't want to give wrong info.
 
It goes to the back of the fuse block on the accessories side, like said when you turn the key to the off position releases the vacuum and and the door closes.
