OK I give up. I am a newbie in search of some clairity here. I thought that a 1970 Roadrunner with the RM21 was a coupe with a fully painted top, while the RM23 was a hadrtop, with a black yinyl top made to look like a convertible when all the windows were rolled down. Then I see this ad: http://www.specialtysales.com/car.php?carnum=3364 (I'm not trying to promote this ad. I just wanted to reference the vinyl top).
So what's the deal? Is the vnyl top just an option like rally wheels? Does it show up on the VIN tag with a specific code? I'm looking for a violet/plumb crazy RR with NO vinyl and I wanted to educate myself as to what to look for. Any infomation would be appreciated. Thanks!
