I have been working on lights on John's roadrunner. Got the hood turn signals working, cleaning the contacts, installing new Y330 bulbs and connecting the wires. Now I have replaced the backup light bulbs but they are not working. I need to check the backup switch is connected and working on the transmission, it was a automatic column shift car before the 4 speed installation. Replaced the map light and it works but the switch is broken, any recommendations on switch replacement. In the ash tray there is a cig lighter and another electrical piece, up by the top, but it doesn't look like a light bulb, what is it?

Does it look like this? If so thats the time delay for the lights.

Its a timer to delay the lights when you turn off the lights. Illuminates for a few seconds later.

I got all the lights working, hood turn signals, reverse lights, dome light and map light. The dome light was a 90 bulb, not a 2112. The map light bulb works but the switch has missing parts. I was able to snap the small PCB into the light bulb housing, but I'm missing the plastic switch maybe with metal contact on the back?

If this piece is a small silver cylinder with 2 small holes in the side and has a rounded end and has a single orange wire pigtail with a male bullet connector end and a small clip that holds it to the top of the ash tray.....then, it has a bulb inside with a blue plastic inner liner and serves to illuminate the ash tray when lights are on.

The pigtail will plug into the triple female bullet receiver (orange).
