Hello
Refresh my old mind.
Did Dodge make a "RT" or were they Coronet Rt's that just had an RT badge on them and no Coronet name plates ?
I had thought they did, but it has been a while since I have looked into these.
Any history on this subject would be appreciated.
I normally am a Charger guy. and have too many hobbies.
Thanks

The R/T was a performance trim level offered on Chargers, Coronets, and Challengers back in the day. Depending on model, the name plate such as Coronet could've been eliminated, or like a Charger/Challenger retained.

Yeah
The R/t package on a Coronet was "Wicked Awesome"
As same with the Charger and Challenger
Not just a nameplate

The only place on my '67 R/T where Coronet R/T is spelled out is on the the inside door trim plates. Everywhere else, it is simply R/T. All true R/T VIN's started with WS. Coronet 500's could be cloned to R/T with changes to exterior trim and powertrain. Their VIN starts with WP.

68 to 70 Chargers don't say Dodge on them anywhere. 66 and 67 Chargers say Dodge on the hood and trunk, and the 71 to 74 Chargers have Dodge on the hood or grille, some on the trunklid, and steering wheel.

That's right, Charger is all you needed to know.
There's probably others, but the GTO, and 442 dropped the brand emblems, but for Mopar it was the only model that dropped the brand.
