This 1970 V-code super bee currently doesn't have a heater box with heater core installed. There are holes in firewall. The heater controls are gone too. I just wanted to make sure it came originally with a heater before I go in search of the parts. Looking at the tag codes, I can't tell if it had the heater or had the heater delete. Neither code there. I'm guessing one of these packages or trim groups would have included or excluded the front heater. Any help would be appreciated. If you see anything else that's interesting please point it out.

I'm seeing that H11 is front heater option and H25 is heater delete. I don't see either of these codes. I hope I don't need the build sheet to determine which it came with.

I have never seen a "heater delete" mopar and do not see any reason for doing that.

I've seen heater delete cars early on but not ones for 70.....

Heater was standard equipment on all 1970 Coronet models. My expectation is that a code would have only been applied to the fender tag in the cases of: 1) Upgrade from heat/defrost only, to Heater/AC; -or- 2) Heater deletion. The broadcast sheet would bear the designation for the single front heat/defrost.

Also note:
- Being your car is a V-code, AC could not even be added....the air cleaner is too big for the compressor to fit (with or without the N96 which also precludes factory AC).
- your "V3X" Black convertible top is probably a "V1X" black vinyl roof as they didn't make production Superbee convertibles

Edit: - I now see the V1X at the bottom of the list, so the convertible call is probably supposed to be a stripe call, then. **correction - you have the Dress Up, so the code might be V5X for the body side moldings?**

Thank you. I wasn't sure about the V5X. Looks like its a 5. Appreciate the information.

V0G100418.....is this dealer promo car? Someone here will know.

Is this the car that was recently for sale in CA?

PS - There is completely restored heater box for sale here in Michigan. PM me and I can put you in touch with the seller. Joe

Y16 and/or the "M" (or, also "J") leading the sequence number = sales bank car. Y28 and/or "R" or "Q" Prefix = Public Relations car which is what I think you mean by Dealer Promo? so - no, just quite early in the model year (August 2nd 1969 SPD) - 418th 1970 car "down the line" at the St.Louis plant.

V = 440 6-bbl
0 = 1970 model year
G = St. Louis built

V5X: Body Side Stripes, Black

I believe V5* is the (metal) Body Side Molding (with X in this case indicating a black hard vinyl insert/glued-in 'bumper" strip. V6* is the vinyl longitudinal side stripe (decal) according to my info.

Sorry - last edit: Now that you guys mention it, I don't believe I've ever seen a Superbee with the body side molding? Zooming in on that tag, I think it probably is V6X - which would be the "Reverse-C" stripes (when the tag is off, look at the back side and it might be more obvious). V8* would be the transverse "Bumblebee" stripes.

To save a couple of bucks in warmer climates. To save a couple of bucks and weight in a car designed to be a drag car. While not 'common' the concept did exist but waned as time went on.

As cars were not built in VIN sequence, there is no way to know '*** down the line' based on a VIN number. VINs are related to administration, not production. This car could have been the 102nd or 1,457th car assembled. VINs are cardinal (car one, car two, car three) not ordinal (first car, second car, third car) numbers.

...'*** down the line'...
Concur. Was trying to suggest as such with the " " quotes, but worded it pretty clunky. This comes up often - I will try to use more accurate verbiage.

...is this dealer promo car?
...OP's Bee as being part of a few identical equipped V-Code Promo Bees.
Very good read on moparts - I didn't know about this special group build. My "learned something new" for the day!:) Always want those
