So..In a couple of months, I maybe able to aquire my other dream Mopar(as I already have one of them awaiting in restoration). The Mopar in question is a 1970 Dodge Super Bee. I know people will say that something is worth what people will pay for it...but that generally applies to people that have money...(not me!!)...

So..What do you think a fair price is a running driving car that needs typical work? I will not be looking at trailer queens or restored show ponies. No Hemi, or Six Pack mega buck cars. Just a base 383 car. Color not important but I'd really want a 4 speed car.

Any advice? This isn't a wanted ad because I don't have the funding ...yet. No prospective cars to look at either...

if the body is tight...and the interior is livable....and it runs...and all functions relatively well...i would put a price tag on it at 16 G's

if its really nice,,,,20

To me it depends on a few factors- what options it was born with and how much work it needs. Example: a plum crazy 4 speed car with original drivetrain and ramcharger that doesn't need trunkpans and quarters vs a white column shift auto that needs a bunch of metal work. The first car may be worth 15-20k and the 2nd maybe 5-10k...each one is a snowflake and is valued a little different

i bought a 70 FC7 white interior, white C stripe 383 bucket seat console fresh air super bee in 1994 for 800 bucks. does that count LOL

1970 Superbee values...

I'm not sure what they are worth. Mine is a 383 air conditioned car w/ auto on column. I see the Road Runners get more demand and attention. I did put a 1970 Hemi in mine. Heck, my 1970 426 is probably worth more than the car!

If you look at a 70 Coronet cross-eyed, the front end actually does become attractive. Try it sometime, it really works!

LOL!
Nope, I tried it, still ugly!

Cars:
1970 Superbee
1963 Dodge Max Wedge Clone (coming soon)
2007 Shelby GT500 (two)

70 Super Bee

I see them on sites from time to time from $5-6K for basket cases & $25k for a really nice 383 4spd, more upwards of $50k-$85k for 440 Six pack or 426 Hemi of restored &/or clean course... I like the 70 Super Bee, not as much as Roadrunners or Chargers, I still like them, but here are a couple you may like, for examples, I found on a couple of sites, none of them mine...

Has anyone tried to build their own chin spoiler like in the pics listed by Budniks? Iv got to have 1 on my 70 Bee. Together with a rear wing would look great. Does anyone sell them or will I have to fabricate my own.

I thinkyour on your own with the chin spoilers, some guys adapt a 67-69 Camaro spoiler on 68-70 Chargers, they fit pretty well from the ones I've seen, I'm going to put one on my 68 RR Here is an example of a 68 Charger with the Camaro Chin Spoiler

Id hate to think what that awesome looking blue one would be! Thats just plain mean looking!

IMO, the 70 Dodge B body styling is VERY brutal and aggressive.

This works well with HIP colors and very well to convey the attitude of the Super Bee.

However, it loses something on "regular" models, and becomes "over the top" and a bit of a caracature.
Huge, empty rear wheel wells, and a jet intake nose don't relly work on a 4 door with 78 series tires and a flat hood.

383 cars-
Shell needing quarters- $3500 (but I've seen $2000 recently)
Driver needing quarters- $5-8000
Driver not needing quarters $10-15,000 and up

I sold my Top Banana a/c car needing quarters (1 OEM 1/4 sold with car, along with new trunk floor) for $1500 in 1993, running and driving.....and I still regret it.
It would have looked like the yellow one in post #10.
