So I watched the video. Not putting down the car but it does need some work. There is rust under the vinyl top. Not original motor. So keeping with the title of this thread, WIW.

Despite all that, if 150k is the number, it is still worth it. Loads of impossible to find NOS parts included and a 4 speed car as well. Tom described all of it's imperfections in detail and for a real 4 speed Superbird, that's a good deal. 150k is of course only second hand information as I have not spoken to him personally.

Thanks, just wanted to see others put a price on it. I do agree with the price in the 150k ball park. I've always wanted a wing car, and this might be my best shot. But I'm out of indoor storage right know and there is no way I spend that kind of money to let it sit outside. .

I bought a Superbird! Not sure what else we need in the description but here we go. I travel over to Spokane, Washington about 6 hours away to buy a Superbird but to get the bird I have to buy 12 cars total and move them all (plus an attic full of parts!) in two days to get the house cleaned up. Evan and Jamie from Dead Dodge Garage help in this adventure. Be sure to watch for the multiple moments where Jamie stares at me clearly wanting to beat me with a stick.


This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a serious muscle car. Sometimes you have to put in some serious work to get the one car you want. Other cars are a 1986 Chrysler LeBaron GTS with 60k miles, 1984 Jaguar XJ6 with 80k miles, 1955 Imperial with a 331 Hemi, 1960 Chrysler New Yorker Convertible, 1960 Chrysler Saratoga, 1965 Chrysler Newport Convertible, 1965 Chrysler 300 4 Door Hardtop, 1965 Chrysler Newport 4 door, 1973 Imperial, 1965 Imperial Crown Hardtop, 1965 Chrysler New Yorker 2 door hardtop and of course the 1970 Plymouth Superbird which is a 440 4 speed car originally in white but painted Hemi Orange now.


Also have to clean out an attic full of Superbird and other parts to make sure everything is present for that bird. They have a lot of unique parts you cannot find anywhere else. Have I mentioned it was like 110 degrees in the attic, up a super steep, narrow, 20 foot tall staircase? Because it was super duper hot, up super steep stairs, and the stairs were super narrow.


This was an amazing adventure and honestly 3 days later still tired and dehydrated from the trip but SUPERBIRD! Special thanks to Evan Lall, Scott Smith from Harms Automotive ‪@ScottSmithHarms‬ and Jamie from ‪@DeadDodgeGarage‬ .

It's a nice project, but it's still a project.
Looks like it has good bones.
I don't like vinyl tops for what lurks below. The top needs immediate attention.
Not the original paint color. This can be rectified.
Not the original 440 HP engine. Lost to time.
Original 4 speed car. Good
Lots of NOS parts. Good
Manual steering. Interesting.
Manual brakes. Interesting.
Wheels are from different model years...not original to car.

Ok, I'll play...WIW? No more than $115,000.

I assume he has the title.
