1971 Bahama Yellow Roadrunner

Finally was ready to try and fire it up. Hooked up battery but was not getting any power at the key, found a bunch of burnt up wires in the wiring harness, replaced all of that. (Pain in the ***)

Had power at the key now but it wouldn’t crank the starter. Ended up changing out the whole steering column and that was the trick it fired right up.

I need to bleed the brakes and find a drive shaft. Then i can take it out for a drive

Maybe some exhaust shortly after as the open headers may get me some unwanted attention haha

Great write up!!!
It was a nail biter when I saw the frame cracks,I was worried for you, lol.
You did very good job!!!!
Keep it up buddy!!!

Haven’t posted on the Roadrunner for quite awhile. Got it running and driving, started working on other cars, then bought a fixer upper house and also started working away from home. So not as much time to tinker on the car. I’ve started removing the floor plans, then will do the trunk pan and drivers rear frame rail eventually. I’ll have to post more details once I get back working on the car again. Hopefully I’ll have the garage all fixed up for next winter so I don’t have to stop working on it in the never ending winter months up here in Saskatchewan lol
