Do they move freely? If so clean em up and use them. Any replacements will be nothing like the originals.
 
The one on the right moves freely, so I’ll restore that one. The one on the left looks cheaper and has a frayed cable keeping it from moving freely. Going to have to replace it.

My father-in-law has made them BRAND NEW for the country for the last 50 years, they will be nice and thick and beefy like the originals, and not like any simply little use - them - once reproductions....
He might even be able to make them like originals , if he was able to find some wire wrap....
