Not quite the right year, but what the hell

Bought this a couple weeks ago, figured I'd post my progress in here instead of hijacking other peoples thread all the time :sideways tongue:

It is a 1971 Charger with a non running 318, Automatic with a hacked B&M shifter and no brakes..
What can I say, I got a good deal. :upside down:

As it sat in the field:

i kinda like it,seems every one you see is a 68-70,nice change of pace.

Good find. Worth getting out of that field! Good luck with rebuild. Definitely Keep us posted

Nice, that car is bad ***. Very cool, what are your plans with the car?

Remember the car when you posted it after you got it. I see it has the highly optioned duct tape interior. What was the original color for the car?

so, if the General had BEEN a '71, would everyone be as excited as they are over the '68-70 bodies?? From a design standpoint, the 68-70 body one of the most striking bodies to ever grace a car....

sjd

Well, you could sand it down and paint it yellow. Then it would be a car they used in the dukes of hazard. I believe Daisy drove it, or whoever. It was like the family hot rod. Seriously, it is cool, to each his own and love what you drive no matter what people think or say. I don't buy cars that other people like, I buy what I like. When you get it running it will be even cooler, and a good time.

Daisy's yellow car was a '74 road runner at first, then a '71 Satellite. I like the Petty idea though.

That car looks pretty clean sitting out in the field. At least it wasn't all moldy and covered in needles...

B.o.a.t !!

Here is the 440 I got the other day, don't know much about it other then it "might" have a cam upgrade and it needs the oil pump and pick up and pan re-assembled.

:icon_cyclops_ani: I put a brake booster in last weekend but appear to need a "distribution valve" to connect the master cylinder.. Anyone have one for sale?? It is a 4 drum brake car if that means anything. I might just have to change the rotten looking brake lines too. This car is going to be a "boat" .. (bust out another thousand) :icon_surprised:
Everything I go to fix kinda needs to be replaced. :violent-smiley-100: Notice the column missing? Anybody have a column for sale ?
