Finally found another mopar project (aside from my Ramcharger) after regrettably selling my 71 Charger R/T. Picked up a 71 GTX off eBay and will be restoring her shortly, originally a lemon twist yellow full black vinyl top car with the performance hood treatment and side body stripe I can’t wait to put her back to her former glory. She still retains the original heavy duty 727 and slapstick shifter, but instead of the HP 440 she came with a regular date code correct 440 (soon to be six pack) is under the hood. I’ve always been a fan of 71/2 roadrunners so when this GTX came up for a reasonable amount I jumped at the opportunity. She runs and drives so the plan is to get her reliable and then drive her from Kentucky to California (fingers crossed) A3921E83-E60B-457B-B081-25AC48EAD5FA.jpeg 8C94A9B8-E3BD-4300-96F0-0528121733A1.jpeg 4C953897-5001-4D75-B8E2-5B7E89008F8D.jpeg

That’s the one, he said he bought it and then had to get rid of it for another car so he had an auction (as well as listing it locally), but the buyer never paid so he re-listed and that’s when I picked it up. I have my shipping company showing up to get it on Thursday so I guess we’ll see. Thankfully if anything shady happens I’m covered through eBay since I did everything through them. You boys sure do know how to raise someone’s heart rate!

I talked to the owner Eric this morning car has been sold ,but he has a 69 Charger listed now ,dead beat buyer on ebay but a new buyer now

Well thankfully didn’t get ripped off, car was delivered today, is pretty solid and as described in the add, it’s going to be a lot of work, but hey that’s half the fun of having an old car

Hey, that is great news. Both that it arrived, and wasn't worse than described. I'm looking forward to watching what you do with this GTX!
