I just picked up a 71 Satellite and I'm looking to swap out the old, mismatched rims and tires. I'm looking to go with a set of mopar police wheels and I'm wondering what I can fit under it. I was thinking the 15x7's with 4.125" backsapcing for the front and 15x10's with 5.5" backspacing for the rear. Will these fit my car? Bolt pattern is 5x4.5. And then what size tires I should go with for each. Thanks!

stock 15X8 cop wheels work fine up front (don't know what the stock back-spacing is). Can easily run 235/60/15s up front, and have seen 255/60/15's run before on these cars.

Wheel size and backspacing is only part of the equation. Tire series matters too. How tall the sidewall is, overall tire diameter, what sort of rear suspension are you running, etc.

On my 72 I have Cop Car wheels with 275/60/15 out back. With that 15x10 5.5bs should be able to handle a 305/50/15.

So the 15x10 with 5.5" of backspacing would fit? I don't necessarily need a tall tire, I'm mostly looking for width.
