1972 Dodge Charger Rallye project

Original 340 is mothballed so I don’t destroy it (if you saw how I drive, you’d understand that logic). 400hp and not the weight of a big block will make for some fun driving. :)

Color testing paint, looking at how it will look on mirrors first.

update: they are spraying car and should be done with first stage by weekend. :)

Making good progress!

I was able to take a pic of the sweet wiper motor I got for it. Powder coated the arms and even got the Blistein Shocks out for some pics.

Out of paint, heading to my buddies place to start assembly and it will sit for nearly a year so the paint/Clear can harden before it gets it's final cut and buff. Will post more this weekend when I'm sobered up from my 50th birthday party.

here are some more pics of the car. Dropped off at my buddies place to start reassembly.

Looking good, thanks for the pics and updates.

Well your getting along good with yours you mind if I send mine over ? I haven't touched it it years

Oh I haven’t touched much on it, thus why a buddy is doing the reassembly.

Still needs a lot or problems fixed. They didn't pull items and now they all have to be pulled and restored including hood latch and spring, door latches and strikers, steering column, dash assembly with gauges and more. Looking at an extra $800-$900 in repair/restoration costs because of it.

Back from garage deep space. Finally updating. Car had to go back to the shop. buddy made some mistakes on assembly he was doing and the car had to be repainted. All good now, hope to be back on track after being out for 1/2 a year in the shop.

Front suspension is on and now just done with everything in at least roller condition. Have the wrong calipers on, so that will need to be worked out. Hotchkiss torsion bars, Magnum Force Arms & Blistene shocks will be much more better driving over stock.

Repair work, hood painting and windshield install are all now correct and the way I wanted it.

Forgot to say thanks to Ted and Jackie Steven’s for dropping off the AMD front windshield while out here. Ordered it through The Mopar Shop, but they went out of their way to get it to me. Thanks guys!

I wanted to make ‘what if’ of a 1972 version of a R/T Dodge. Should be interesting when I’m done with it.
