I have a 72 Satellite Sebring Plus. I would like to put a faqctory Tach in place of the clock.
I cant find anything about doing this. Can a factory tach be bought and just put in place of the clock? Are there hook ups for wiring already there or do you have to wire it in?
I would like to have one like first picture.
Second picture is what i have now...none functional clock.
Anyone have a tach for this application?

When I added the tach to my 73 SSP all the wiring was there and I hooked up no problem

Reproductions of that tach are available, and is a simple direct replacement to that clock. Tach specific wiring is not in place on a car that didn’t come with a factory installed tach. Simple to recreate however, basically a single wire routed to the coil and power supplied at the dash harness ign. three way tap.

I did my 73SSP about 38 39 years ago and the donor insert must have come with a wiring harness because it was plug and play with no trouble
as I would remember if I had to string more wires

with the diff the repro tachs are 8K instead 7K of originals... mostly sure autometer inners based. Yes, need to add wiring ( rrpro or home made, easy to do ), as stated

Okay, I have been searching threads for about an hour now..I give up.
Is there any know threads or techniques talked about on sprucing up the wood grain bezel on a rallye dash?
I read one somewhere where you clean it real good, gently wipe with black paint on a rag to get intot he groves, wipe off, then spray paint it brown...does this ring a bell to anyone????

Oh, and not to knock any admins on this site....but if I could drop a note in the suggestion box, it would say that it would be nice if these sections were cleaned up a bit...you can find dash-related threads in this forum, and also the restoration, interior and electrical forums....they are all over.

I know it takes constant maint, and I'm not sure if it is worth the time and effort to move threads to their proper location so that they are easier to find.

Thanks Sure Grip...that last one is the one I was looking for. Might have to try some of those methods!
Thanks again!
