Looking for the rear bumper filler for a 73-74 roadrunner or satellite. Everyone of the online stores is sold out--they claim they're getting them back in 6 months or so, but would rather get one now.

Thanks in advance.

Good luck finding one. I was told that 2 years ago from Obsolete Auto formerly known as Frank Mitchell Motor parts.

Yea. That’s my fear. My only other option is to tuck it. I can’t do it myself and it’s a lot to spend on a bumper

If you have good examples,I’ve been having good luck with having a local place 3D print things

I think it’s soft rubber. I’ve actually not seen one.
Yes it’s rubber with a steel insert… here is an nos set of Dart ones I have..

Be careful- as some of the repros don't have the steel insert.

"Tucking" may not turn out like you expect, as the radius of the outside edge of the bumper is different than the quarter panel and the two actually intersect.

One FBBO member did it, but IIRC it involved sectioning the bumper in at least two places, and reworking the radius.
A LOT of time and money.

Yea. That’s what I was expecting g to have to do. Has to be cut in at least two places. I got an estimate of $5-6k to get it done. Can’t justify it.

Looks like there are a couple Charger fillers on ebay.
Those are kinda hard to find as well.
They have a recess in the center, I'm guessing because of the fuel fill behind the license or the light.
Might not be very noticeable.
I have one and could measure it vs the Plymouth part.
Might be better than nothing for temporary use.

If you could measure and let me know, I’d deeply appreciate it.

By this time, with all the repro metal available, I'd thought that someone would design & produce a bolt-in filler-less bumper for all the 73-later cars. Perhaps lack of volume would negate such an undertaking.

I would think a custom bumper would be an extremely limited market.

Quarter panels, OTOH...

Yea. Agreed. And metal hoods. A few years ago, they stopped making glass for them. I know cause I got the last pieces from and. Not sure if they started again.
