Decided to pull then engine and do some upgrades.
Got lucky and found a pair of ported 2.02 heads for $200 rebuilt.
Upgrades:
High volume oil pump
Airgap RPM intake
2.02 ported Heads
750 Holley
1 5/8 Headers *hedman
Timing Chain
better fuel pump
New water Pump
New Oil pan
Took me the weekend to do. I had a bad leak out of the front and rear seals so I purchased a master gasket set so new gaskets all around.
Everything went very smooth. Had to flip the rockers (amateur hour). Was very disappointed with the hedman headers. There were "painted" but with like a spray paint? found this out after I installed them. had to take them out and strip the paint as much as I could then added some hi temp paint and cured them properly. They still chip and fade away. VERY VERY disappointed in hedman. Who paints headers with spray paint. I mean really...?
Runs very strong, couldn't be happier. Much better smoke shows :3gears:
