Does anyone know what size dash speaker (or speakers) a 1973 Coronet equipped with factory AM radio would have come with? The car has a long, narrow speaker well on top of the dash -- about 19" x 4". Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff

Thanks. Eric from Ike's said he thought 4 x 10 or 4 x 8 -- looks to me like 10, but won't have time to dig under there to get a better look until next week.

4 x 9 or 10 is correct. I made a dual speaker system for the dash my self. But you can get a dual one, they are all over.
This is just an example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CUSTOM-AUTOSOUND-4x10-Dual-Voice-Coil-DVC-Speaker-140W-/360385048491
Here is the plate that a fellow is making over at dc.com for (2) 3.5 speakers, that is if you need 2.

Just search 4x10 dual cone speaker.

I have my old one I made the template from, let me measure.

Original probably looked something like this.
