What rear end does it have in it? Gears? Posi?

I will crawl under it and take a look when I get off work tomorrow but I am fairly sure its an 8 1/4 but not sure of the gears or if its a sure grip.

Mine is the same car and it has the 9 1/4 rear..open.. 4 inch axle tubes if this helps from crawling under it.. Here is a pic from when i got the car.

I haven't got there yet, too dang cold. How can you tell a 8 1/4 from a 9 1/4 ?

One of the other members put this in a thread somewhere else and i saved it, maybe this will help if you can see it good enough looking under the car. I think it was Cranky, but not sure. hope it helps.

Yep, that was defenitely Cranky. It was in response to my asking what rear was in a car I was looking at. Good info, having the visual aid really helped me out.

Thought it was... Real good one to have around for a quick reference!

Thanks for that chart, sadly I have an 8 1/4. As a matter of fact I have 2 of them for this car.
