1974 Satellite/Road Runner turn signal Fender

Did the 74 Satellite come with the fender turn signal indicator as an option or was that discontinued in 1972?

My 74 has them so I'm gonna say yes.

Still an option, but slightly diff design from 71/72 models.

While 71/72 were smooth and with studs underside

73 and lates are a bit “bulkier” and attached with a phillips oval screw from top

Diff bulb too. Bayonet on earliers vs wedge on laters

Just an FYI for those looking the top ones are not Plymouth Satellite/Road Runner they are 71/2 Charger. These are 71/2 Plymouth.

Yes, that’s it… but easier to service and cheaper bulbs. The bayonet kind is (as far I recall) the day after day harder to find #330 bulb, so is getting expensive.

Also the earlier design is prone to get the socket rust out easier, so it can get stuck when needing to be serviced.

RRs with turn signals on hood are able to hold longer, but not the fender ones due the moister enviroment down the fender

Actually they are different. The 71/2 Plymouth lens, the plate and gasket can be removed from the turn signal housing where 71/2 Charger has the lens riveted to the housing making it harder to service if the wire gets rusted to the lens...
