My friend who helped me find my Sport Fury recently found a maroon or burgundy 1975 Plymouth Road Runner that I have honestly been mildly obsessed with. It's a plain jane base model with bucket seats and rally wheels that has been off the road since '99, yet miraculously started and drove on 23-year-old gas! Mechanically, the car is in decent shape. There's no a/c, the engine is a 318 2 bbl, and it has a column shift. Overall, the interior is in pretty good condition; super cool to see a dark red car with a white interior! The biggest issue is the windshield. It's completely shattered, and we have been struggling to get our hands on a good windshield for it. Let me know what you guys think of this find!

Cool cars. Vintage red was the colour, I bought a new one with a 400 in it.

Very cool find Ari, hopefully there will be interchange on the glass, cordoba??
I had a white ,w black stripe 75 RR 318 plain jane w cranker sunroof way back when. Keep us posted on the maroon one.

I just had a windshield installed in my 75 RR this month. It had a nice 8” crack in the lower right corner when I got it out of storage this spring. Called this company in Evansville IN and they had one the next day and had it installed for $350. Might be worth a call to find out their supplier.

I agree with Ron_M...and not just because he has a '73 SSP. Love the long hood/short deck on 75 RRs. I would probably jump if I could find a clean one with a 400.

And Droptop, that is a beautiful ride!

Good to see the price is dropping. There was a while where my shop cost was over that! I should check my cost again, maybe stock pile a couple?

See if a windshield is available for the car on ebay.

...then take that info to one or more local glass shops. They can usually get anything their supplier has without the added shipping you would pay.

We did pull a windshield out of a junkyard, it's cracked but we can live with it for now. Will do :)

Found my corner trim pieces! Found them in a 1976 Dodge Daytona Charger!

I had a price quote for paint on the 93 D150 I bought Saturday before Easter. I told them I wanted the windshield removed for paint. They said I’d need new rubber, they looked and didn’t have a source. I went online and found it and the lock strip from two different companies. It’s waiting in the garage for the August (?) paint job. Much tougher prior to the internet on certain things. Enjoy that soon to be better looking ride!

We had a ‘75 road runner with a 318 and it was one of the nicest road trip cars we ever owned.
Nice mixture of luxury and cool. I thought it had good power and it was smooth as silk running, riding, and driving.
Ours was tan with black stripes and rallye type wheels. That’s one if very few cars we sold that we miss.
It looked like the one pictured but the bumpers were chrome(whoever restored this one painted the bumpers-yech!)
Well worth restoring IMO.

Here's an update! The Road Runner is running a lot better! We did a rust repair and gave it a paint job! The brakes have been replaced, and the cylinder heads have been rebuilt; it also needed a tune, and the transmission needed to be serviced. We also got Hurricane 15" wheels; I think they look much better; what do you all think? :)

It’s running and driving- you’re on your way!
Looks much better all one color, wheels are always a personal preference kind of thing. Myself, I think the original rallyes look perfect but that’s just my opinion.
Any plans for final paint and interior redo?

I don't think we're going to get that far. It still needs body work, and I just don't have the time or money for all of that with the Franken-Runner project that I have going on. The Road Runner just needs someone who can give it that kind of attention :)
