Need to know, I have a 77 Monaco B body with a 440 engine. I purchased a replacement oilpan. They said it would fit all B bodies. Well it doesn't seem to want to fit. It did look close to the original pan but the sump appears to be a little too far forward to fit. I massaged it a little bit but now the oil pickup is too far back. I am thinking this is a pan for earlier cars with the different K memeber like pre 1975. Does any body know which pan I'm looking for and where to get it. Thanks. Phil

Hi Phil

You need the "971" pan to fit the ISO (73+) K member. The one you have is likely the "187" which will not fit as it will hang up at the front as you describe

Oil Pan blues

77 Monaco is a B body. Royal Monaco is the C body. I have in the past put a C body motor in a B body. I did have to swap the Pan for that one.

In any case my listing is at home and I'll post the whole thing here so the info is shared with all

In any case all BBody's 73 and up had the ISO Kframe so used a 971 pan

oil pan woes

Thank you so much. I found the listing
On 440 sources web site. Schumacher sells all of the parts needs. They even said I could get the pan from my Mopar parts dealer. Serves me right for buying a new pan on fleebay. At least it was cheap.

Here tis anyway with the years & apps

PS The yes, no & some column is for baffles
