Painted Starlight Blue Metallic accented by a Baby Blue leather interior, this Cordoba wows them wherever you drive it and is one of the most unusual ones you could ever come across. It is heavily optioned, being a two data tag vehicle listing options such as the 400 four barrel big block, 727 Torqueflite Transmission, 9 ¼ inch SureGrip Rear End with 3.21 Gears , Full Instrumentation with Factory Tachometer, Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Trunk Release, Cruise Control, Tilt Wheel, Leather Bucket Seats, Console, Floor Shift, Dual Remote Racing Mirrors, Trunk Dress Up Package, Rear Defroster, and a Premium Sound System. Everything; every switch, light and accessory works on this car.

It also has the Heavy Duty A35 Trailering Package which includes the SureGrip differential , Heavy Duty Transmission, Heavy Duty Suspension, Heavy Duty Alternator, Heavy Duty Wiring Harness, Heavy Duty Front Disc Brakes, Transmission Cooler, Power Steering Cooler, and extra welds in the unibody like the Mopar pursuit units of that era.

This Cordoba is mostly as it came from the factory and has been repainted in the original color. There is no rust in the body. The mileage is just over 35,000 miles and a casual inspection of the car will verify that. When the car was repainted, someone installed a gold reflective tape stripe on both sides from a 1970 Road Runner, along with Road Runner emblems and decals. It also has 15X8 Mangel aluminum alloy rims, as well as a practically new set of speed rated P225 70 R15 radial tires.

The trailer hitch has been pulled off and stored as well as most everything else which has been removed from the car. The troublesome Lean Burn Ignition was replaced by a recurved distributor out of a ’71 383 with a Mallory E-Spark Electronic Ignition Conversion.

Over the past year and a half other items replaced have been the water pump, fuel pump, spark plug wires, sparkplugs, accessory belts, engine oil and filter, transmission fluid and filter, a lube job, windshield wipers, a dual exhaust system with turbo mufflers and stainless steel pencil tips, and other bits and pieces to make this vehicle mechanically perfect as possible. The air conditioning system was refitted to R134a very recently. It also has a Jensen AM/FM/ Cassette/ CD player with matching Jensen speakers.

As you can see from the photos, this is an extremely nice car in appearance and it drives just as nice as it looks. If this tickles your fancy and you can see the good sense in buying an unusual low-mile B-Body Mopar with all the right pieces for far less than five figures, please give me a call.

The price is $7500 and the car is located in Ozona, Texas. Possible trades may be considered on a case by case basis.

Thank you and May God bless America,

Ben

Hi Death Row...looks like you're posting every 3 1/2 years, regular as clockwork. (j/k) Hey, let's see a couple of pictures of your Cordoba road runner! It sounds like a nice clean car.

Photon,

Thank you. Believe me, I have been trying. Just made another attempt, we will see what happens next.

I do not post much here. But I have been on some other old Mopar sites for a long time, usually under the moniker of "Paladin." That goes all the way back to the old Dallas Mopar Board of the 1990s.

Out of curiosity, why did you refer to it as a "Cordoba Road Runner"? The reason I ask is that according to the original owner, the dealership where he bought the car put stripes and emblems on it from a 1970 Road Runner. I debated taking them off, but they did have a nice effect on the car. My personal opinion, of course.

May God bless you and yours,

Ben

Gentlemen,

I am trying every way I know how to get the photos posted, but so far to no avail. Which, incidentally, is one of the reasons I do not come to this site very often and post anything.

I will continue to try. Thank you for the interest.

May God bless you and yours,

Ben

Out of curiosity, why did you refer to it as a "Cordoba Road Runner"? The reason I ask is that according to the original owner, the dealership where he bought the car put stripes and emblems on it from a 1970 Road Runner. I only said that because you had mentioned the stripes and birds. But thanks for the pictures, that is a fine looking car. I always preferred the round headlight Cordobas. As for the stripes and decals, I don't think they take away from the car at all, and if they were indeed original dealer applied, keep 'em as something to talk about.

Okay, should have checked my own typing when inserting the ad. Got sort of frazzled trying to get it to load up right after numerous attempts.

Thank you for the opinion on the stripes, that was about the same opinion as I had. The car does cause a bit of a stir wherever it goes. I have taken two out-of-town trips since it was finished, and there is usually someone asking me about it wherever I happen to park.

The biggest draw, believe it or not, is that baby blue leather interior. I have been approached by two different women whom I had never met before, each wanting to get a better look at it. Then they wanted to sit in it. If I was younger and single again, that might be a benefit in itself.
