1977 Chrysler Cordoba winter rebuild

Happy new year!
The progress has been slow in the past month. The winter has fully come in Norway, the snow is falling down and so has the motivation.
I have gotten some new parts so i will give a quick update on how the project is going.

After trying to seperate the pistons from the rods i discovered one rod was broken. the piston connected to this rod was missing a piston ring and looked quite burnt. This was a small setback, but luckily i found a guy who has been building quite a few Mopar engines in Norway and he had one spare rod and is going to balance the whole rotating assembly for me. Hopefully i will get this done by next week.

Then disaster struck again when trying to assemble new piston rings to the new pistons and one ring snapped in two. Luckily again the Mopar builder had one spare set of rings and could give that to me.

But to end it on a good note! i decided to buy a set of Edelbrock E-Street 5090 Heads and i just got them in the mail today, really excited for these and can't wait to get this thing back on the road again now. The machining job was a little bit poorly finished so might do some smaller porting work, but guess i have to see how much time i have.

Next step is to get the gearbox out and start installing the transgo tf-2 shiftkit and next week i will deck the surface on one header because the surface is not even and caused exhaust leak this summer! will update again soon
Cheers
