I'm looking at replacing my exhaust system. The car is a 79 300 with the 360 4bbl in it. Currently looking at the Magnaflow 19303 system and also getting the headpipe to the system pipes as well. Anyone used this system? How loud is it and how difficult to install was it?
Is they any other complete systems out there that don't drone or are extremely loud that can be installed DIY?

I'd used their dual headpipes, and custom-fabbed the rest of the system myself. But the headpipes are a great fit ! I'd imagine that system should be just as well.

I can't speak to the system exactly you are looking at. I did put the Magnaflow entire system on my 2001 Ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.9 Magnum. It had steel high flow cats, but otherwise was a typical SS pipe aftermarket kit.
Loudness factor is 100% dependant on the muffler you use. I will say this kit I used was 50 state legal and sounded mean, and rumbled plenty loud driving away, but did not drone on the interior. People told me it was "loud but cool". Well, by people I mean non- car guys type people that just saw a shiny black truck.
Keep in mind I had SS cats on this system, that can have an effect on "drone factor".
They system was 1000% superior to the flowmaster system that was rotting off the truck about a year after I got the truck.

This was also maybe 6-7 years ago. So, global supply crap considered, YMMV.

I would guess if you don't like the noise level once installed, there would be options to swap the muffler to a different type.
More recently I put a JBA front pipe on my 5.2 Dakota. That was probably one of the best quality (materials and bends) pipes I have ever worked with. Something to consider for headers or whatnot.

Wow, looks like $300 for the leads and $1000+ for the system? I think I would go with TTI, I prefer DynoMax Super Turbos to just about any other muffler for most applications. Their complete system is $978, knock off a couple hundred bucks if you want it without mufflers so you can choose your own. The Super Turbos usually have a nice rumble at idle, good sound on acceleration, but are virtually silent at cruise.
