1979 Chrysler 300 at Barrett Jackson

This '79 300 sold last night at Mohegan Sun in CT at the Barrett Jackson Auction for $5,170. I was hoping for it to go for more than that so the value of mine would go up!

A friggin gift!! You take a big chance with "no reserve". I'm sure the buyer is laughin and scratchin.

I got a good look at it today, it's in decent shape but had some things that I questioned like a aftermarket tachometer bolted to the console, a hood ornament with the 300 logo in it and basic white wall tires that I didn't really care for.

Wrong trim rings on the wheels also, but all pretty minor stuff when you are looking at a T-top 79 300 with those miles. If you look at the engine pic it has the "Premium 360" logo on the front of the valve covers, so I don't think it's a clone. With no rust, car should be worth well over twice what the bidder paid.

I don't think its a clone either but it's definitely worth more than $5,170 most of the emblems were faded or missing too making me feel better about mine!

I emailed the guy telling him I have one and if he sells it to let me know so I can gauge how much I may be able to get for mine if or when I decide to sell it.
