NOT MINE

Maybe this nice, low mileage example will bring more than $30,000?

Five days to go!

BaT brings better bids than Ebay? I dunno.

I have one of these cars and so I want nice examples to sell for lots of money to bring the value of mine up a little bit.
:p

Way back machine here. The gentleman who sold me my ‘62 Imperial in 1992 had what was probably the nicest example in the country. If I recall correctly he paid about $5k. So they have appreciated significantly.

It's worth 30k if it's EXACTLY you are looking for? I searched over 12 years to find the dodge magnum I wanted at a good price. I ended up with a triple black 78 magnum 400cui with T-tops. For $2,600. It needs some work. But I didn't mind at all. Happy hunting!

THE BEST styled car of 1979. Followed closely by the Magnum. All the crap from GM, Ford, and the others don't even come close.

Two days left and a long ways to $20k and $30k was out of the question anyway.:(

Oh well, so much for raising the value of mine.

Dodge produced over 73,000 Magnums during its two-year run (1978-1979).

112,000 Cordobas for 1978
73,195 Cordobas for 1979

I am surprised the Magnum didn't sell better. I was looking for a leftover or slightly used Magnum GT when I found the new '79 Chrysler 300 I purchased in late 1980.

Man that Red! I had a 79 5th Avenue.
Mine has finally toned down some from age, but that's still a whole lot of red. I used to work with a bunch of butchers in a grocery store meat department. It doesn't bother me too much.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The 79 300 I'd owned years ago was one of the best cars of the many I've had. Stock, it may not be a tire-shredder like others, but for the day it was a stylish performer. In my mind, this car as well as the Magnum, are a great value to participate in the classic car hobby nowadays.

The Rodney Dangerfield models of B bodies.
:p

I test drove both the '79 Magnum XE GT and the '79 Chrysler 300 back in February of 1979. Had a heck of a time deciding which to buy. Eventually bought the Magnum, I felt like the 300 made me look/feel too old at the time. I was 25 and the Magnum was just a sportier looking, feeling car than the 300. I wouldn't mind having a nice 300 now though.

My Magnum that I bought in '79
