Awesome job guys! He is lucky to have you as a friend. I know of too many projects that get stalled or sold because of lack of support. When something like that back window rust pops up, its easy to say I quit!
 
Well we finally got some work done on the car. I have been waiting for John to finish blasting and cleaning. He just had the doors, fenders and trunk lid blasted so I had John put together a spray booth and I went over with my equipment and shot DP 90 epoxy primer on the parts. We had to do a lot of cleaning on the surfaces because they were covered in grime. John made the booth to small so I was cramped. These parts need a lot of metal repair work as well but at least we can move forward.

That's a big undertaking and kudos to you for helping out your buddy. And of course saving another Road Runner!

Yeah, been to their lot here in TX on the weekend, the cars they have I observed as being from up north -- why they bring them here to sell is crazy! I guess they sell them as Texas cars which is ethically challenging at best to claim that, although it may be legal to do so, still just wrong!
