Maybe I spoke too soon Yea Raider finally won the season opener, 1st time in 9 years, woopie, yea ha, :iamwithstupid: that's about as excited as I can get right now... Still too early to tell, lots of football still to play...

Lions win

I grew up a Raider fan. Now I'm more a fan of the Raiderettes. Oh well,as well...

I am officially on the Detroit Lions bandwagon. No,really;I've made bets and everything. Ain't got no Lions swag-yet-but that may change. I've tried to be a fan of them for decades,only to have the disappointments mount. This year feels...different. I like the coach-he really gives a Lion's *** about the team's future-and the draft picks have been solid under the new regime. Good crew of veterans as well. Just gotta keep 'em healthy.

I hear what you are saying brother! They went 4-0 in the pre-season, then LOST EVERY GAME that year! Around here we always say that the Lions will beat last years Superbowl winner, but lose to the worst team in the league!

You'd fit in well on a vintage snowmobile site I'm on! Lots of Packer/Viking/Bear/Lion smack talk goin' on. Even a couple of Jets and Pats fans as well from the Right Coast.

Budnicks;I watched the end of that Raiders/Bills game and like you,was saying "WTF?!?!?!" How wide open was that tight end? THA-A-A-A-T freakin' wide open. I heard that someone got canned over that-was it the corner/safety who screwed up the coverage? Raiderettes looked good,as usual.

Holy Crapinozzi! We not only beat the Vikings from down by 20, but we beat Dallas from down by 21!!! I tuned in halfway through the 3rd quarter and found the "Tabbies" on the bad side of 24-3! So I went back to my TiVo'd war movie! Saying "Yeah, thats the Lions". Then a few hours later I found out they won!??? What?!! They should call them the "Cardiac Kids" for their "lose-the-first-half-but-win-in-the-second" style of play! Now on Monday, they are playing their FIRST MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL GAME IN TEN YEARS!!!! Holy ****! And they are actually favored over Chicago by 6-1/2! Its official.....Hell HAS frozen over and it is truly the "End of Days"! I'm just waiting for 1 or 2 more signs of the Apocalypse before I truly repent!

Hell has officially froze over Lions are 4 & 0 1st time since 1980, Your having to bring up my beloved Raider choking I was so POed, how do you loose a lead like that? I loved seeing the RAIDERS beat the J E T S then go & loose to the dang Patriots, they could have done much better, but on the good side they are 500 on the season still that's an improvement from earlier years of late... :iamwithstupid: Raiderettes always looken fine... on a side note... My beloved Oregon Ducks kicked butt on the Cal Bears so my week was made already this week, but they lost LeMichale James RB 240+ rushing yards in the game & over 200+ the past 3 games to a serious arm injury though, looked like his right elbow had bent backwards, O U C H...

RIP,Mr. Davis. Love him or hate him;his influence was immeasurable. It was good to see the Raiders become relevant again,and he was a part of that. Any idea who will take over the team? Did he have family who'll run the team? I'll venture that this season takes on new meaning for the organization after his passing.

He was survived by his wife a son & a daughter, His son Mark Davis will be running his affairs/interests/businesses for the time being I believe, or possibly outside of the football team, maybe his daughter....
