Being a curious sort(in more ways than 1) I wondered if anybody could answer a couple of questions I have. (1) Is the car on Joe Dirt real or parts on a Charger? I still cringe when he tears the wing off! And (2) Does anyone know what happened to a Superbird that was in a hoglot in Beverly IL until the early 90s? It was actually out in the country near there. It was a blue column shift 440 car and it was like the Holy Grail in our area for quite a few years. It was a 1 owner and he parked it in a hoglot after the trans quit. True story! People came from all over the country looking for the car. I worked for a guy that ran a body shop there and he said people about drove him nuts stopping by to ask directions! A friend of mine got pictures of it as close as he could get and it had dents and sat down to the rockers in the mud. Somebody finally got it bought and I wondered what became of it. I never saw it because it wasn't a 68-74 Nova and I wasn't interested enough to go see it! I did see the hemi emblem off a 68-70hemi charger that was crushed in the early 80s locally, meet the owner of a factory 383 Dart that got crushed in the early 80s for lack of a buyer, see a local factory super stock ford 66 or 67 that has less than a 1000 miles(a 1/4 mile at a time), all Holy Grail quests for a young gearhead but I never saw the Superbird. It was gone before I got there. I wonder if Lionsgate needs a script for a new movie. Boy searches for true love, gets off track with the wrong sort of car from the other side of the tracks, spends all his money on it all the while his true love lies rusting away. Years go by as his mental illness rules him only to be awoken by the rumble of a big block Dodge in the distance. Now wide awake he rushes to the distant hoglot to find, "Gasp", she has been claimed by another who could see her Hemi orange was not just a shade of Chevy orange. Despondent he vows to remain loveless for a number of years until another sexy Mopar crosses his path in the shape of a wingless sister to his true love. A beauty in her own right is the sister Charger but silently our hero knows she will never fully fill his heart. For to settle for less would be to love an acup while longing for the dcup that got away.
Seriously, any answers would be appreciated.:Whdatk:
