2005 Jeep Liberty 3.7. Won’t restart hot

Sometimes, you gotta do " The Jiggle" .... no, it ain't the newest dance craze, like The Twist or The Mouse (soupy sales)... jiggle the linkage to ensure it's in P or N... I've had a few cases where this was the culprit ... may not be here, but good luck

Sorry you didn't like my reply. Too bad. I'm not a mind reader , there was NOT enough information to make an intelligent comment. To properly diagnose why the jeep wont start is simple. A gasoline internal combustion engine needs air fuel and ignition to run. everyone on this forum should know this . If you dont take an automotive repair course. When the jeep fails to start the party involved needs to see if it has spark at the plugs fuel at the fuel rail with the correct pressure and compression. The injectors also need to be checked to see if the PCM is firing them. you could dick around all day banging on the tank or starter or you can do it the right way and figure out what is missing . Then the repair can be made. Basics first.
So, ask questions instead of being a dick. You'll get a much better response.

No update on the Jeep, but here is the right-hand drive conversion. Not sure if Orville or Wilbur did it.

Crankshaft position sensor failures on Chrysler products is very common. I replace them quite often. Not 100 per cent sure on your vehicle, but you may lose fuel pressure along with spark if sensor fails, so just a fuel pressure test may fool you into thinking fuel pump problem, when in reality PCM won't fire pump due to no engine RPM signal. Will not always set code.

121k. Spins, won’t light.

How long do you crank before giving up? I had one do similar and it was the fuel pressure check valve. Somebody recommended the "wrist twist" i. e. turn from Off to Run for a few seconds several times to let the pump prime the system then try to start it.

Worked for me.

Squirt some fuel in throttle body, try starting. If it doesn’t start you know it’s not fuel related. Crank shaft censers are not that expensive. Process of elimination. Good luck.
