The 2011 Palmetto Nationals at the legendary Darlington Dragway will take place October 14-15, 2011.
On Friday, October 14, there will be a pre-event party at Carolina Nightlife, located between Darlington Dragway & Darlington Raceway, featuring JT Steele & the Hired Guns with special guest Frontier Sons. Event admission is free, but anyone attending will have to pay for their own food & drinks.
On Saturday, October 15, the Palmetto Nationals will consist of an IHRA Ironman Classic with 4 classes of racing including Top Eliminator, Modified, Street & Jr Dragster. The IHRA Ironman Classic is open to all makes & models. The Palmetto Nationals will also have a Mopar Classic & Modern Muscle Car Show hosted by Classic Mopars of the Pee Dee, vendors, swap meet & car corral. All event are subject to change anytime.
The car show portion of the event supports the Wounded Warrior Project.
The host hotel for the Palmetto Nationals is the Ramada Inn Florence Center, Interstate 95 & US 52, Call 843-665-4555 for reservations. Ask for the "Palmetto Nationals" discount. Rooms start at $50.00 per night.
