Hello to my FBBO Family!
I rarely post, but when I do you always come to the rescue!
I have a 8 3/4" 3.23 open rear in my '65 Coronet 500. I want to replace it with a drop in 3.91 [or 3.90] unit.
I bought a Yukon N case from Randy's years ago for a Roadrunner that I had, but the prices have skyrocketed.
I was wondering if someone could provide me with a solid, trustworthy source that I can contact for a ready-to-go refurbished unit.
Not whining, but I am retired and on a fixed income.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Complete drop-in 3rd members are expensive everywhere you look nowadays. As Fran posted check out Dr.Diff, but they're all pretty close in price...your best bet is to keep an eye out for one for sale by a private party (like here on FBBO). Have you tried to have a shop quote you to swap the gears and diff only? Maybe a little cheaper...

I bought a 3rd member 3.73 from Dr Diff about 4 months ago. Have had no issues so far. I would also recommend going with the snap ring style green bearings Dr Diff sells.

I will look around to see if I can find anyone that does rear gear work.....I live in a rural area [read: po-dunk]. I bought a 489 N case Yukon from Randy's Ring and Pinion years ago when I had my Roadrunner.
I will keep an eye on FBBO. Thanks for responding!
