On 70 road runner 3 speed wiper, is first position on switch low, then high and last position medium? Old wiper motor and new one is the same.
Seems incorrect to me. Shouldn't it be low, medium then high? Thanks.

...and OFF. It's really a 4 speed wiper!

Sorry, I had to say that. It's been a long day.
:p

You would need to trace the wires but it sounds like the two wires are switched around at some point. Bulkhead or switch connector.

Thanks, I'll dive into it tomorrow, probably bulkhead, odd that two motor harnesses would be incorrect. I had every wire out of bulkhead to clean, but wipers were like this prior to taking apart the bulkhead and i labeled every wire and made sure they each went back to where they came from. I'm correcting previous owners mess. In process of installing new ecu engine harness as well.

I think it is "Park", "Low", "Mid", "High" As I recall, the main wiper power goes directly to the wiper motor, and the switch inside the wiper turns the power "off" when the motor goes into that "PARK" position.
The 3-speed / variable wiper motor is pretty interesting design and takes a special wiper switch to work correctly.
I was able to get one to work with a GM wiper switch, but it took some relays, power resistor, and diodes to do it.

Thanks, I checked all wiring, both bulkhead and wiper harness are correct, perhaps I have a bad switch. High speed position is slightly slower than mid. Wanted to correct this prior to finalizing dash install.

Thanks to 451Mopar, I went back to check out switch, I had left off the brown wire with white tracer, all good now. Thanks again! I can finish installing dash now.

It would be beneficial for the forum, and me, IF you can provide a schematic diagram or parts list with values of the resistor & diodes or pictorial diagram of your installation. Thanks in advance.....
