30" Tires on 67 Belvedere?

ok, that's badass, I need more detailed info please about " if the openings are moved correctly etc.." please. I planned to get MT 29x15.50 x15 tires with a 15"section width and 13" of tread. This looks way better. School me please...lol. Thanks.

33's on the rear. If the openings are moved correctly, they always look great with a tall tire. Anything under 29, looks stock.

Ahhh...I see what u did. You moved the rear axle back about an inch? You reworked the front curve of the wheel opening a few inches forward closer to the fake scoops, lengthening the opening.

I'll be checking your build conv67 and I like that white car too!

There's a 5" piece grafted into the center of the opening. We cut the wheel opening out[top, front, rear in a rectangle shape] split the piece in the center, moved them further forward and rearward into the quarter panel, then welded in a center section. Same basic look as stock, but proportional to the tall tire. As you can see, after we replaced all the needed body panels on the unibody, it was chemical stripped, completely e-coated/baked, then we did the legal super stock chassis and rear wheel openings.

1967gtx, nice work on your 66 sweet, i would suggest back bracing that 8 3/4. When you plant them stickys there pulling all that weight . The rear will bend forword and put a lot of load on the bearing caps and wambo !! Broken pumpkin and now you broke the rear you got to pull the tranny (auto)to check the sprag if not possible grenade ! . I broke two ring gears and pulled the studs out of one of the caps .and that was the last draw .wanted a dana but went with a 9" for easy gear changes. Good luckPicture 381.jpgcaridy5-R1-006-1A.jpg

Thanx MOPOWER871 - The back brace is in the box at the Belvedere Hotel behind the green door - cheap insurance!!! The other thing I have done for added insurance is where I cut the housing is on centerline of where the spring perches will be welded so now its all tied together.
