318 and exhaust system question.

I have a nice built 318 with shave J heads(small valves) 470/270 Comp cam, performer intake and a 750 Holley.
It runs good.
I have for exhaust, Headers, 2 1/4 pipe 2 chamber2 1/4 Flowmasters to the bumper.
Would 2 1/2 pipe and 2 1/2 Flowmasters dumped at the rear, besides bringing out more sound of the cam do any better for the engine, or is it just a waste of money for the fun of it???

If you had 2" on a high flowing 360 it might be a different answer...

You'll loose low end torque and gain some top end pep.
