318 poly pulley won't line up??

1964 Dodge 440 w/ 318: swapped out my tired poly with no a/c and swapped in one out of an identical 64 Dodge 440 4 dr with air. the swapped the 2 groove pulley from my old engine onto it, now it won't line up with the water pump, what's up with that??
It's like the pulley needs to be thinner. Makes no sense whatever.

The water pump bolts to the timing chain cover. Is there a chance that the A/C timing chain cover is different then non A/C. I do know it is with the B engines.
