318's really have no value? Should i just scrap it?

My Son parted one out and made around 500. I've always wanted to stroke one..the 318 is one of the most dependable motors I've driven....not flashy when stock...but steady and dependable

If 318s have no value, it sure is news to me. Maybe no resale value. If that's the only way you look at things, you certainly have a negative outlook. There's no such thing as a valueless Mopar engine. Especially the 318. It's one of the most dependable and depended ON engines Mopar ever made.

Only The Slant 6 Was More Reliable. I've Never Seen An Engine That Ran Without Oil Until My Old Slant!

same bucket , the wieland four barrel intake and the electric iggy are $worth more then the great running poly they are attached too. just dont race a prius with it. my motivation for going to a 44o oh and the car is the 64 polara 440 model.

The poly can look pretty mean to. I was going to stroke it but didn't, wish I would have now. It's running about 285HP now. Not bad for a Sunday cruiser.

chevy guys only know how to attempt to harrass mopar guys...point in hand....I was selling a 67 B body and when they looked at the trunk, inner rear qtrs, they claimed the qrts were all bondo'd up because of the rough, natural, stock appearance. I told them if they found smooth nice ones, then the qrtrs were messed with. They walked

Recently had a 318 given to me Date on the block was 1984. This is a 2 barrel engine.
When I opened it up it was a roller cam with 302 swirl port heads. I put it in my old truck. Was thinking it would make a great starting point for a 390 stroker.
P.S. Tried to post some pictures Have no idea where they went into cyber space.Having a hard time figuring out this new format.errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !

Nothing to regret there -- the 340 at its factory strongest was rated at 290HP! :)
