340 Charger will not stay running!!! please help!!

For shits and giggles check your advance weights quick to make sure they are in working order and not hung up. With the motor sitting that long maybe have a little rust binding them up?

well guys i bought a timing gun and it was apparently running at 50 degrees of timing. unplug the vaccum advance and it was running much worse and sitting around 32 degrees. however when i advance or retard the timing. it refused to start whatsoever. it seems to have too much compression and will cause the starter to struggle turning the engine on the first stroke. then it will crank normally but wont even bark like its trying to fire....

Depending on RPM it's possible to see 50 and 32, but it would have to be running fairly fast.
It really should not change much when the vacuum advance is connected or disconnected, maybe just speed up or slow down a bit.
If it was still running at a fairly high RPM, then the mechanical advance was adding timing and you still really don't know where the initial is.
I would suggest pulling the plugs, check the timing while cranking so you can get an initial. That being said we are assuming the TDC mark on the harmonic balancer is correct. Did you get to check the step up rods in the carb? Still the same issue with lack of fuel?

i checked fuel pressure and slid the rod caps over to make sure there wasnt overload of spring pressure on them. they didnt seem to pop up.
